It wasn’t until 1946, after the end of the war that the Temuka delegates succeeded in entering teams, and more importantly a senior team, in the local competition of 1946-47.
Players such as Eddie McEwen, Bill Clark, Paul Jenkins, Vic Wilson, Pete Gale, Sally Williams, Eric Simpson, Fred Saunders, Randolph McMillan, Fred Rush, Snow Reid, Alan Carlton, Ross Swap, Gordon Walker and Maurice Pentecost formed a nucleus of players around whom a strong side was based for many years.
Temuka had both a senior and junior side in the 1950’s, but, towards the end of the fifties, several promising young senior players left the district and because of this the club agreed to play in the second grade only.
